The new MacBook Pro is on the way! this is what you can expect

Next March will be news for Apple. The Cupertino-based manufacturer is expected to have an event to present the new M2 processor, accompanied by new computers.

The first model that Apple will introduce should be a new 13-inch MacBook Pro. But at a time when there are already 14” and 16” options on the market, what to expect from this future version?

Design needs to keep up with Touch Bar

In November 2020, a MacBook Air, a Mac mini, and a MacBook Pro with an M1 processor were released. As can be read in MacRumors, the new 13-inch MacBook Pro should not undergo any cosmetic changes.

Rumors suggest that it would have the same body as the previous model, with a Touch Bar. Remember that this detail was deleted in the 14” and 16” models. As one of the goals will be to keep the price down, users should not expect mini-LED panels and a 120Hz refresh rate on this model.

The M2 processor will be the big news

The great novelty must be the M2 processor in this model. It is expected to have the same 8-core CPU, but with more performance and efficiency. We should have more GPU cores, upgraded to 9 or 10, instead of 7 or 8 in the previous generation.

You should keep in mind that the M2 processor will not be as powerful as the M1 Pro or M1 Max. If that’s your priority, you should keep these newer M2 processor models off your shopping radar.

In addition to this 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2 processor, Apple is expected to launch a MacBook Air with this same processor.
