The Motocross World Championship will be held in Villa La Angostura

The Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Nation, Matías Lammens, and the Governor of the Province of Neuquén, Omar Gutiérrez, announced the realization of the MXGP Grand Prix of Argentina for March 20 in Villa La Angostura.

In this way, the mountain city retains the place to host the Motocross World Championship, which in its last pre-pandemic edition mobilized more than 30 thousand spectators to Neuquén, and that it will have the support of the National Institute for Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR).

“Neuquén has been working very well to promote the natural synergy between tourism and sports. It is a joy to be able to resume, thanks to the progress of the Vaccination Plan, this agenda of international events, which It will have a great economic impact for the province and it will be an excellent opportunity to showcase Villa La Angostura. to the world”, assured Minister Matías Lammens in a videoconference.

“This is a joint achievement. We were able to face this challenge thanks to the tourism development that the province is having, with full occupancy in January and February,” added Governor Gutiérrez. “The excellent summer season in Patagonia was promoted by PreViaje and from Neuquén we are going to support the program becoming a State policy”, he concluded.

The Provincial Tourism Minister, Sandro Badilla, and the mayors, Fabio Stefani (Villa La Angostura), Omar Torres (Villa Traful), Carlos Corazini (Junín de los Andes), Carlos Saloniti (San Martín de los Andes) participated in the presentation, along with MXGP organizing authorities, which has more than 80 athletes representing 35 countries.
