The Mochis come from behind to defeat Licey 5-4

The representation of the Cañeros de Mochis, from Mexico, obtained a sensational and dramatic victory five rounds for four over the Tigres del Licey, from the Dominican Republic, in the first game of the 65th round. Gran Caracas 2023 Caribbean Series, which took place at the La Rinconada stadium.

The Mexicans, who had been losing the game 4-2, managed to turn the score around when they attacked left-handed reliever Fernando Abad for three runs after two outs to get their first win in the Caribbean Series. They had nine hits and the Dominican Republic had seven hits.
