With a great finish by Yancarlos Martínez in closing, the Dominican men’s 4X100 meter team won the silver medal at the Ibero-American Championships held in Alicante, Spain.
The Creole team concluded its journey with a time of 39.19 seconds, the best mark of the season.
It was only surpassed by the Spanish team that had a mark of 39.03. Third place and the bronze medal went to Brazil with 39.32 seconds.
The Dominican team was made up of sprinters Christopher Valdez, Alexander Ogando, José González and Martínez, who made a pass in the last few meters to finish second.
