The Matrix Resurrections: Neo (and company) are back in the first official trailer

Amid fresh faces and familiar faces, the first official video trailer for The Matrix Resurrections brings Keanu Reaves back to the role that immortalized him nearly twenty years ago as Neo. The long-awaited sci-fi production arrives on Christmas 2021.

The wait for the first images and the official footage of the Warner Bros. production is over. Images that will hit theaters at the end of the year. In the meantime, we will have other trailers, but now I invite readers to enjoy these (almost) three minutes of video.

The first official trailer for The Matrix Resurrections

After 18 years, Ressurections reunites Neo (Keanu Reeves) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) in the new feature film directed by Lana Wachowski. Considering the trailer, Neo does not seem to remember his identity or powers, as he is in an existential crisis.

In fact, the action begins precisely with Neo visiting a therapist, probably a psychologist played by Neil Patrick Harris in a role similar to that of the Oracle in the previous chapters. The action takes a faster course when Neo discovers some of his abilities.

In effect, we see the protagonist discovering the hidden truth of his being, with all the underlying reality. There is also time for a meeting with Trinity, recovering the chemistry of yesteryear.

We can also see, in an evocative character of Morpheus, the actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, as well as Jessica Henwick, who encourage Neo to rediscover the Matrix. The production also includes names like Jada Pinkett Smith and Lambert Wilson in the roles of Niobe and Merovingian.
