The month of January has started with exciting news from HBO and Sony, who revealed a new trailer for the series ‘The Last of Us 2’ on January 6. The new season is now confirmed to arrive in April on the small screen.
New Trailer for ‘The Last of Us 2’ Series
The new trailer for ‘The Last of Us 2’ was revealed during the Sony conference at #CES2025, where it was confirmed that the series will return this year. The trailer gives us a glimpse of the post-apocalyptic, snowy, and dangerous landscapes that we will see in the new season.
In a teaser of just 58 seconds, HBO gives us more glimpses of Joel and Ellie, as well as new characters such as Abby and Dinna. The trailer also recreates an iconic video game scene in the series.
‘The Last of Us 2’ Series Release Date
Although neither MAX nor Sony indicated the exact date on which the new season of ‘The Last of Us’ will premiere, it is confirmed to arrive in April 2025. The series looks set to be one of the best premieres we see in 2025.
With Joel and Ellie’s father-daughter relationship that will develop in this new season, as well as new characters such as the one Catherine O’Hara will have in ‘The Last of Us 2’, the series is highly anticipated.
