The first match of the three match ODI series between India and the West Indies was played at Kensington Oval in Barbados. The India team won this match by five wickets with 163 balls remaining. This is the Indian team’s ninth consecutive ODI win against the West Indies. In this match, the pairing of Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja made history. This pair of twists has made a world record with its great performance.

In the first ODI against the West Indies, the pairing of Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja made 7 out of 10 batsmen their victims. Kuldeep took four and Jadeja took three wickets. With this, for the first time in ODI cricket history, two left-arm spinners together took seven wickets in a match. This world record has been disclosed by the BCCI itself.

In the first ODI against India, the West Indies team went on 114 runs in just 23 overs. This is the second lowest score for the West Indies against India in ODI cricket. At the beginning of 2018, in the ODI played in Thiruvananthapuram, the West Indies were defeated by the India team with just 104 runs.

The India team achieved the West Indies target of 115 by losing five wickets in the 23rd. This is the second biggest win in terms of balls remaining after the five wicket drop in ODI cricket history. India won the match 163 balls early. In early 2013, Sri Lanka won the match against Australia with 180 balls remaining.

Batting first after losing the toss, the West Indies team managed just 114 runs from 23 overs. The spinners took a total of seven wickets for India. In this, Kuldeep Yadav took four wickets and Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets. In response, the Indian team chased down the target by losing 5 wickets in 22.5 overs thanks to Ishaan Kishan’s half-century.
