An Israeli settler shot and killed a Palestinian youth.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, a Palestinian man was martyred by an Israeli settler in the occupied West Bank.
The ministry said 28-year-old Alaa Qaisya was shot dead by settlers south of the southern West Bank region of Hebron on Friday.
The Israeli military said the Palestinian man tried to stab a resident in the Ten Amrim settlement and was shot by an armed civilian.
Israeli settlements in the occupied territory are illegal under international law.
Israeli media reported that the incident occurred as people in the settlement were gathering for the Jewish holiday of Shavuot.
Qaisya’s sister-in-law, Nana, told Reuters news agency that the youngest of nine siblings mostly kept to herself and was not a member of any armed group.
