The IPL 2024 schedule is expected to be released after the Lok Sabha election dates 2024 are announced
IPL is expected to begin by the end of March next year. Lok Sabha elections across the country will be held only next year while a PTI report says the full schedule of the IPL will be released only after the Election Commission announces the poll dates. The report also said that the decision on whether the entire IPL will be held in India or part of it abroad will be taken only after the election dates. Actually, the IPL is held every year, but the Lok Sabha elections are held every five years. In such a situation, the IPL Governing Council does not want the IPL schedule and election dates to clash with each other. Therefore this decision was made. At the beginning of 2009, due to elections, the entire IPL was played outside the country, while in 2014, half of the IPL took place in India, although some matches were played outside. The Lok Sabha and IPL elections are scheduled to take place almost simultaneously. Therefore, when the dates are announced, it will be announced when and where the elections will take place, and only then will the corresponding schedule be announced.
The IPL 2024 auction will take place on December 19 in Dubai
Meanwhile, after retaining the IPL, the last date for registration of players has also passed. It is known that November 30th is the last date for registration. It is estimated that around 700 players from around the world put their names forward for around 70 places. After this, the names of the players will be sent to the teams by BCCI and IPL Governing Council. The shortlist will then be published. The news so far says that the auction for IPL will be held on December 19. It is also learned that this will be the first time that an auction outside the country will be held in Dubai. Confirmation on this is currently awaited from the BCCI. Therefore, the auction is happening now, but you will have to wait for a few more days for the complete schedule of the IPL.
