Apparently, Apple will release a new affordable SE model of the iPhone next year.
But, in an attempt to reverse the reduced sales of the 2022 SE terminal, Apple will recover the design of the XR model for the 2023 SE 4 and integrate a new processor.
The iPhone SE 4 arrives in 2023 with the design of the old XR model
Apple, next year, will offer another affordable version of its smartphone. The information was released by Jon Prosser, on Andru Edwards and Jon Rettinger’s Geared Up podcast.
But the well-known leaker went further and revealed that this terminal can recover the design of an unexpected model of the brand. Prosser thinks the SE 4 will have the same design as the old iPhone XR. According to the leaker, this option from Apple is due to the lower than expected sales of its affordable model.
Apparently, Apple believes that with this design, the SE 4 model will be more successful among users. But the model may bring with it more novelties.
iPhone SE 4 (2023) (Possible) Specifications
If the information that the new SE will be a “twin” of the XR is confirmed, the affordable version could gain a 6.1-inch screen. This would be a significant improvement, since the current SE has a 4.7-inch screen. Also the resolution would be optimized and would be 1792×828 pixels.
Another novelty may be the integration of a new processor. Considering the model will only be released next year, it may even come equipped with Apple’s proprietary A16 Bionic processor. And this may be a specification capable of conquering users who are looking for performance in their terminals.
On the other hand, rumors are also advancing that the optical part will not be updated and, in this sense, the new iPhone SE will keep its only 12-megapixel sensor on the rear panel.
For now, no information has been released about a possible date for the new affordable version of Apple’s smartphone. It is likely that after the presentation of the new iPhone 14 series, all the rumors about Apple will focus on the 2023 SE model.
