The iPhone 15 Ultra could hit the market with exclusive features

In September of this year, Apple will introduce the new iPhone 15 series, which will have the same differentiation strategy between base models and more advanced models.

But it seems that the iPhone 15 Ultra will even arrive equipped with exclusive features. The finding was made in code for the new iOS 17 operating system that will focus on stability and efficiency.

It will be in September of this year that Apple launches its new generation of smartphones in an event (hopefully) with a lot of pomp and circumstance. Until then, there are and will be even more rumors circulating on the web world reporting various details about the new team.

On this occasion and still at a considerable distance from the presentation, information appears about the new iOS 17 operating system, which ends up revealing details about the next generation of the iPhone 15.

According to LeaksApplePro, the iOS 17 code shows that six iPhone 15 models will be equipped with Dynamic Island functionality. It was already expected that Apple would extend this function to the base models in this new generation of iPhone.

According to the same leaker, the iOS 17 code also seems to confirm that the iPhone 15 series will ditch the proprietary Lightning technology to replace it with a universal USB Type-C port.

But, on this particular point, there will be differences between the models. According to the information released, the base models of the iPhone 15 will support speeds similar to the Lightning connector while the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Ultra will arrive with faster transfer speeds.

The iPhone 15 Ultra may have exclusive features

LeaksApplePro goes further and highlights the fact that the iPhone 15 Ultra may hit the market with exclusive features. According to the leaker, Apple’s most advanced model may be equipped with advanced image processing software.

This small detail seems to suggest that the rear camera setup of the iPhone 15 Pro will be different to that of the iPhone 15 Ultra, which may have better sensors. This information confirms the previously reported rumor that only the 15 Ultra would be equipped with an improved optical zoom periscope sensor.

But more differences can be found. According to the leaker, both the iPhone 15 Pro and Ultra will be powered by the new A17 Bionic processor, based on the 3nm process. But the Ultra chip “will have more freedom than the one in the iPhone 15 Pro,” plus the more advanced model may also have a more efficient cooling system.

For now, we are in the realm of rumors. But in June, at Apple’s WWDC, we will already be able to confirm some data, since the company should show the iOS 17 operating system there for the first time.
