The iPhone 13 was a big hit for Apple over Christmas

The iPhone 13 has been a bestseller since its official launch in September. Apple proves once again that it does not need to make many adjustments for the new models of its smartphones to be successful.

Apple will have sold 40 million iPhone 13s during the Christmas period

According to a survey conducted by Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives, the success during Christmas was truly resounding for the iPhone 13. This is because, according to this source, Apple sold more than 40 million units of this line.

This source also states that iPhone 13 sales will remain strong in 2022. If the strongest phase has already occurred at the end of 2021, Apple will not have been able to meet the demand for the iPhone 13 due to a shortage of components.

“While component shortages dominated the conversation about Apple in the holiday quarter, instead, we are focused on the strong story of consumer demand that will continue to occur with the iPhone 13 through 2022,” the analyst begins by saying.

“Based on our component controls over the past few weeks, we believe that demand exceeds Apple’s supply by about 12 million units in the December quarter, which will now increase the favorable winds for Cupertino in the March and June quarters to as the shortage of components decreases ”, concludes Daniel Ives.

Remember that the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max were introduced in September 2021 with marginal design differences. These new models arrive with renewed cameras, reduced notch and 120Hz in Pro versions. Prices start at € 829 in Portugal.
