The Indian women’s cricket team defeated the Sri Lanka women’s team by 10 wickets in the second match of the ODI series. With this victory, India took a 2-0 lead in the series. In the second game, Sri Lanka, batting first, gave a goal of 174 runs. In response, Team India won the match unbeaten in just 25.4 overs. Shefali Verma and Smriti Mandhana gave a stormy performance for India. Smriti posted an unbeaten 94. While Shefali played an unbeaten inning of 71 runs.

Smriti and Shefali came to open for the Indian camp chasing the goal given by the Sri Lankan women’s team. While beating both stormy ones, India won the match. Shefali faced 71 balls and scored an undefeated 71 with the help of 4 fours and a six. While Smriti scored an undefeated 94 from 83 balls. Her innings included 11 fours and one six. The Indian team achieved the goal in 25.4 overs.

Choosing to bat after losing the toss, the Sri Lankan team scored 173 runs from 50 overs until they were eliminated. During this, Ama Kanchana played a 47-run inning. He hit 2 fours while facing 83 balls. De Silva scored 32 runs on 62 balls. He hit three fours. Atapattu scored 27 runs from 45 balls. His innings included three fours.

Renuka Singh played well for the India team. She took 4 wickets for 28 runs in 10 overs. Renuka also eliminated a maiden. Meghna Singh took 2 wickets for 43 runs in 10 overs. Deepti Sharma took 2 wickets giving 30 runs in 10 overs.
