The Indian government has reduced the prices of petroleum products

New Delhi: The Indian government has reduced the price of petrol by nine and a half (Indian) rupees per liter.

Excise duty on petroleum products has been reduced due to which the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs. 9.5 (Indian) per liter.

According to Indian media, the government has reduced the excise duty on petroleum products due to which the price of petrol has been reduced by nine and a half (Indian) rupees per liter and the price of diesel by seven rupees per liter.

After the reduction in prices, the price of petrol has gone up to Rs 95.91 per liter and diesel to Rs 89.67 per liter.

According to Indian media, earlier the price of petrol was Rs 105 per liter and diesel Rs 96.

Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tweeted that the government has decided to provide some relief to the poor and common man due to rising inflation in the country. He said the move would cost the government about Rs 1 lakh crore in revenue.
