The Indian batsmen who fell back on African soil, could only score as many centuries and half centuries.

During the three-match test series between India and South Africa, the Indian batsmen failed completely. This is why the chance to win the Test series after 29 years on African soil seems to be slipping out of Team India’s hands. You will be surprised to know that in the entire series, only 2 batsmen were able to score an Indian century apart from these, no batsman was able to reach the century. The batting of the India team, which looks strong in the statistics, was completely beaten in the test series against Africa. During the entire test series, only 2 centuries and 5 half centuries were scored by the India side.

The first test match between the two teams was played at Centurion. Starter KL Rahul scored 123 runs in the opening innings of the match while Mayank Agarwal scored 60 runs. In the second inning, neither batter could make it to the half century. In general, in the first match, India scored only a century and a half. However, due to the good performance of the bowlers, the team won this match.

KL Rahul contributed 50 runs in the first innings of the second game. Apart from him, all the hitters were failures. In the second inning, Cheteshwar Pujara contributed 53 and Ajinkya Rahane 58 runs. Three half centuries were made for India in this match, but no batsman scored a single century. This was the reason why the team had to face defeat by 7 wickets in this match.
