India vs Australia, Brisbane Gabba Test Match

The manner in which India won the final match of the Test series played on the Australia tour earlier in 2021 is still alive in the hearts of Indian fans. The manner in which Team India won against the Australian team at the Gabba Cricket Stadium in Brisbane on January 19, 2021, chasing a target of more than 300 on the final day of the Test match, made history. However, now Cricket Australia is preparing to demolish this historic Gabba cricket stadium, with demolition reportedly set to begin after the Ashes series in 2025.

Gaba Stadium will be demolished due to preparations for the 2032 Olympics

Australia is scheduled to host the Olympic Games in Brisbane in 2032. Australia previously hosted Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 and Sydney in 2000. With the Olympic Games in mind, Australia has decided to demolish and rebuild the Gabba Stadium, where modern facilities will also be expanded. Gaba is one of the most beautiful cricket stadiums in world cricket where the total capacity of spectators here is 42,000. The aim of the renovation of this stadium is to increase the spectator capacity of this stadium, which is expected to increase to over 50,000. This stadium will be demolished after the match between Australia and England in the Ashes series to be played here in 2025.

Rishabh Pant’s excellent innings led India to victory.

Many historic cricket matches have been played at Gaba Stadium so far. The dominance of the Australian team has always been evident here. Apart from this, if we talk about Indian team’s win in this Gabba, they had set a huge target of 328 runs in the final innings of the match. Thereafter, the Indian team achieved this target on the back of Rishabh Pant’s unbeaten 89, Shubman Gill’s 91 and Cheteshwar Pujara’s 56 runs with the loss of 7 wickets. With this win, Team India also managed to win the Test series 2-1.
