The Government of kyiv confirms the advance of Ukrainian troops in Bakhmut – EFE News

Kiev (BLAZETRENDS) published various information in this regard in recent days.

In a message posted on his Telegram channel, Malyar stated that “the enemy has failed to fulfill its plans” and “has suffered massive casualties.” “Our fighters have advanced two kilometers in the Bakhmut area.”

Malyar also wrote that the Ukrainian forces “have not lost a single position” and accuses Russia of “praising itself and making up stories about our military command.”

False information

According to the Kiev representative “the enemy gives false information about the lack of weapons, with which he probably wants to justify the real situation in Bakhmut”, referring to the comments of the head of the Wagner mercenary group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, about the lack of ammunition for their troops.

Prigozhin assured this week that units of the Russian regular army deployed in Bakhmut have abandoned their positions in the face of counterattacks from the Ukrainian army.

Ukrainian brigades with a presence in the city later confirmed Prigozhin’s claims.

The commander of the Ukrainian ground forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, has also reported this week of “successful counterattacks” by his troops in Bakhmut.

Russia began its offensive to take Bakhmut last August. Although it has gained control of almost the entire city, Ukrainian troops maintain control over some neighborhoods and, if the latest information is confirmed, they are recovering ground in the city.
