The Galician derby on Monday 3 postponed due to several positives

The match that was to face Monbus Obradoiro and Río Breogán this Monday, January 3, corresponding to the sixteenth day of the Endesa League 2021-2022, has been postponed due to the positive cases of coronavirus in the Santiago team. Specifically, two new positives have been detected, so there are already five players affected by COVID-19, in addition to an assistant technician.

“After the last PCR tests carried out on the squad, Monbus Obradoiro has detected two new positive cases. The two players remain isolated in their homes following the sanitary protocol and the results have been notified to the ACB. The ACB has communicated the postponement of the party and will communicate soon the new date for the dispute of the party “, indicated the Obradoiro in a communiqué.

The first two cases – a player and an assistant to coach Moncho Fernández – jumped on the eve of the match against Hereda San Pablo Burgos on December 18, and the rest after the Christmas holidays.

This is the fourth game of this sixteenth round of the domestic championship that is postponed for this reason after MoraBanc Andorra-BAXI Manresa, UCAM Murcia-Lenovo Tenerife and Urbas Fuenlabrada-Joventut.
