The President of the Cortes and the Castilla y León Foundation, Carlos Pollán, and the President of the Leonés Business Circle (CEL), Julio César Álvarez, signed this morning the collaboration agreement for the “CEL Emprende” project, an initiative that aims to promote business projects with appropriate presentation as well as initial financing search and development strategy.

“CEL Emprende” is aimed at almost 7,000 vocational students in the province of León. A five-person jury selects the best project based on the criteria of feasibility, innovation, originality and job creation. The prize covers the costs of setting up a company, apart from prize money of 6,000 euros. The program offers free advice on topics such as taxes from CEL affiliates. In addition, CEL will announce the winning project on its website and social networks.

For its part, the Castilla y León Foundation will participate in coordination, management, monitoring, evaluation, promotion and dissemination tasks. Likewise, the relationships of “CEL Emprende” with public or private institutions are promoted in order to obtain the greatest possible support. In order to achieve the agreed objectives, the Castilla y León Foundation has set the current and next academic year as a deadline.
