BEIJING: An Air France plane has made an emergency landing in the Chinese city of Beijing.
According to the details, Air France’s AF 393 plane made an emergency landing at Beijing Airport on Saturday morning. The plane caught fire immediately after takeoff.
A Chinese newspaper reported that the plane took off from Beijing Capital International Airport this morning, and shortly afterwards the rear of the plane exploded, causing smoke to billow from it.
No injuries were reported in the incident, but photos of the passengers on social media showed that some of the seats had been destroyed.
Air France has confirmed that its passenger flight crew decided to return to Beijing airport 14 minutes after takeoff. Air France says its crew has also identified a technical problem with the plane.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, but Air France is investigating.
