Even though the transfer market has ended, Granada don’t stop looking for ways to strengthen their squad. One of the options he is considering, according to Matteo Moretto, is the signing of veteran defender Joshua Guilavogui, who is currently without a team after his contract with Wolfsburg expired in July.
The free signing that Granada wants to make
Although the Rojiblanco club have loaned out Manchester United winger Álvaro Fernández, they continue to look for solutions to strengthen their squad, particularly in the defensive zone. The team struggled in the summer transfer window and are currently looking to sign available players who can strengthen their defence.
Josuha Guilavogui is one of the names that has caught the attention of Granada. This versatile defender can play both in central defense and defensive midfield, offering the coach tactical options. At 32, Guilavogui has extensive experience in the main European leagues, having played in the Bundesliga and Ligue 1. His new free agent status could ease his arrival at Granada.
As well as Guilavogui, other well-known La Liga defenders such as Víctor Ruiz and Feddal are currently without a club. Both players have experience of Spanish football and could know their way around the local competition as affordable options.
Although the transfer market is closed, the market for players without a contract still offers opportunities to strengthen Granada. The team is carefully evaluating its options and looking for solutions to improve its defensive performance in the current season. The need to strengthen defense has been evident in recent games and Granada board is determined to make the right decisions to stay competitive in La Liga.
