The footballer that Inter wants to bring onto the streets

Alexis Sánchez, the talented 35-year-old Chilean striker, appears to be on his way to a new destiny. Following his return to Inter Milan last summer, where he arrived on a free transfer after a previous spell between 2019 and 2022, his continuity with the team is increasingly in doubt. Although he has proven his quality and the trust of the Nerazzurri management this season, his future at the Lombard club is imminent.

Having made 18 appearances this season, including just five as a starter, and having scored just two goals in all competitions, his performance has fallen short of expectations. “Calciomercato” assures that, in addition to his high salary of 2.8 million euros net per year, it is difficult for him to stay in the team. Despite his belief in staying relevant for Inter and even turning down offers from non-European markets in January, it appears the club has other plans for the future.

End of cycle

Sánchez’s contract expires on June 30th and negotiations have not yet begun regarding a possible extension. Although the player is still convinced that he can contribute to the team, Inter seems to have decided to forego his services. As summer approaches, Sánchez’s prospects become more uncertain, but all signs point to his time at Inter coming to an end.
