The first consignment of humanitarian aid from China has arrived in Afghanistan, including warm items including blankets and cotton clothes.

Wang Yu, China’s ambassador to Afghanistan, said in a tweet that the aid reflects the Chinese people’s deep love and friendship with the Afghan people and reflects China’s role as a country that keeps its promises and Goodwill to the neighbors is a great step towards building a society with a common future for humanity.

Khalil Haqqani, Afghanistan’s interim minister for refugees, received aid at Kabul airport.

Pakistan is also sending a consignment of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, while Pakistan has also called on the world powers to restore Afghanistan’s frozen assets.

It should be noted that on August 15, 2021, the Taliban re-occupied Afghanistan, after which the United States froze Afghanistan’s assets.

On the other hand, US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Millie called the withdrawal from Afghanistan a strategic failure and said that he had advised President Biden to keep two and a half thousand troops in Afghanistan which was not heeded.
