The finals of the Champions Cup will begin this Friday

The Santo Domingo province, represented by Club Calero, will receive an improved team from San Cristóbal (South) on its roof this Friday at the start of the women’s final of the Superior Volleyball Champions Cup, scheduled to start at six o’clock on the afternoon.

Santiago, meanwhile, will do the same with the Eastern team (Bayaguana), to play the men’s final at the Fernando Valerio multipurpose stadium. Both series are going to be 3-2 and will continue on Saturday and Sunday if necessary.

Calero, who led the national tournament with an 8-1 record, will have to work hard to beat San Cristóbal, who finished second with 7-2 and who has just beaten him in four sets last week with the integration of the starting Esmeralda Ramírez and Larismel Martínez, a defense artist on the floor.

The capital’s will have their stellar center-back Katielle Alonzo recovered from tomorrow, who did not participate in that match due to physical discomfort.

The clash between Santiago and Bayaguana, on the other hand, is also seen as reserved forecasts, although the experts are slightly inclined towards the homeowners.

The two finished the national tournament with the same win-loss record (6-3), but those from Ciudad Corazón were first by goal average.

Alexis García, president of the Dominican Volleyball Federation (Fedovoli), highlighted the level and organization of the Volleyball Champions Cup.

He stressed that all ends are tied so that lovers of this sport can enjoy the highlights that will be the final rounds of the national women’s and men’s.
