The Spanish Rugby Federation (FER) continues with its policy of creating high performance centers throughout Spain and this week has inaugurated a new CAR facility in Valencia which is added to the existing one in Madrid.
In this way, the FER wants to embrace the largest national territory possible to help players who are at a selection level to receive advice and advice to continue with their progression.
The new CAR facility in Valencia has gone ahead thanks to the collaboration of the Rugby Federation of the Valencian Community and the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Raúl Pérez, the Spain M20 coach and head of these FER high-performance projects, assures that this project aims to “chart the path of high performance, accompany the clubs in that effort and monitor the activity every day”.
Each CAR will be made up of a sports director, a physical trainer, a physiotherapist and a nutritionist who will try to help each rugby player who is on the premises, and he wants there to be five male and five female athletes starting with the under-16 sophomores, under-18 freshmen, and under-18 sophomores.
In this CAR, training sessions will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as well as one at their respective club and a match every weekend. and the work that is carried out will be in coordination with the physical managers of the clubs so as not to double the workload. An ambitious project that aims to give a greater boost if possible to Spanish rugby.
