Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents uncovered a conspiracy orchestrated by three men, two of whom claimed to belong to a militia. with the intent to travel to the Texas-Mexico border to murder Border Patrol agents and migrants who crossed illegally, arguing that they believed in an alleged invasion of the country. Court documents filed in federal court detail these individuals’ plans. according to The Texas Tribune.
Bryan C. Perry, 38; Jonathan S. O’Dell, 33; and Paul Faye, 55, were arrested by the FBI and are facing multiple federal charges in connection with their alleged conspiracy, According to authorities, they began organizing in 2022 and planned to carry it out in October 2023. The most recent arrest came last Monday against Faye, a Tennessee resident who was charged with possession of an unused firearm silencer.
According to the criminal complaint filed, Bryan was said to have been in close contact with Paul before his arrest the desire to travel to the border with him and another person to commit acts of violence. Additionally, Bryan and Jonathan are charged with attempted murder of seven federal agents, and during a raid on O’Dell’s Missouri residence, Perry fired approximately eleven shots at FBI agents.

They have been charged before; Perry and O’Dell were arrested in late 2022 and indicted by a grand jury last year on charges of conspiracy to murder a federal officer., among other crimes. In Jonathan’s apartment, authorities discovered six firearms, more than 20 magazines, approximately 1,770 rounds of ammunition and other equipment.
According to the complaint, the conspiracy began to take shape in November 2021. when Perry and O’Dell expressed their displeasure with the federal government and attempted to recruit more members of their militia to travel to Washington, DC with the goal of “stopping the madness.” Later, in August 2022, they agreed to “go to war with the Border Patrol,” thereby announcing their intention to trigger a violent conflict on the southern border.
Bryan announced via platforms like TikTok and Instagram his intention to travel to the border with the intention of “shooting to kill.” They accuse border guards of treason for allowing migrants to cross. The authorities became aware of these threats in September 2022 following an anonymous report.
“I mean, you know, I know a lot of people say, ‘Well, we don’t want violence.’ Well, that’s what it takes to open people’s eyes,” Perry said on the phone to an undercover federal agent, the complaint says. “I go down there to hold a rifle. If you cross the border, you will lose your life.”
In the case of the recently arrested Paul, it is clear that he was in communication with a person from North Carolina affiliated with a militia group called the NC Patriot Party, and they planned to travel to the border in late January 2023.

The authorities after monitoring social networks for a monthThey discovered Faye’s broader plans to implement a plan involving militias from multiple states, use of unregistered firearms and explosive devices. Faye expressed her belief that the government is training to confront its citizens and admit illegal immigrants to help the government.
At some point, before Perry’s arrest, he told an FBI source that he had called Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
“Basically I told him, ‘Look, we have, uh… I co-founded a militia here in Tennessee and Missouri.’ Um, you know, we’ve seen the news. “We know you all have seen people crossing the border smuggling drugs,” Perry said, according to the criminal complaint. “You know, this is no longer acceptable. “If they can’t take over and close this border, we will be forced to go in and do it ourselves.”
Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick has used “invasion” rhetoric to describe people crossing the border, Repeating terms that have been associated with acts of violence in the past. Abbott has also used the term “invasion” to describe the situation at the border.
In early January, Abbott was heavily criticized for saying that Texas had used every means to control the border short of ordering agents to shoot migrants.
“The one thing we don’t do is don’t shoot people crossing the border, because of course the Biden administration would charge us with murder,” Abbott said during the Jan. 5 radio interview with the former Breitbart News editor , Dana Loesch, and spokesperson for Breitbart News National Rifle Association.
