The fans speak and want Canales, Aspas and Borja Iglesias in the World Cup

Days before Luis Enrique made public the list of 26 selected to play the World Cup in Qatar, which will begin next Sunday, November 18, AS launched a survey through the web in which all fans could vote for those footballers who believed they should defend Spain in Qatar. It was about choosing one player per position. All the positions were voted on 6 options (it can be seen in such a way that 100% of the votes received for each position were divided by six. It should be noted that all the players that Luis Enrique has finally chosen were in the options offered by AS in its survey.

In total, 152,336 people have voted for the 11 options. In each position the votes emitted in it appear.

GOALKEEPERS: 169,153 VOTES

The most voted has been Unai Simón, with 31% of the votes. It is striking that the second most voted, Kepa (28%), does not go to the World Cup and David Raya does, who occupies the last place in the vote (7%). Robert Sánchez is the third in votes with 18%.

RIGHT SIDE: 162,370 VOTES

Here, the tastes of the fans and the coach have coincided. Carvajal is the most voted (38%) followed by Marcos Llorente (31%).

The six options to vote were: Carvajal, Marcos Llorente, Maffeo, Bellerín, Sergi Roberto and Pedro Porro.

RIGHT CENTER: 162,842 VOTES

Laporte (34%) and Azpilicueta (22%) have been preferred by the public. Both will be in Qatar. Not going, however, Sergio Ramos, with 25% of the votes.

The six options to vote were: Laporte, Azpilicueta, Ramos, Albiol, Vivian and Zubeldia.

LEFT CENTERS: 162,842 VOTES

In this position there is one of the big differences between the fans and the coach. Not in the preferred by both, which is unanimously Pau Torres (36%), but it does grate that the least valued by the fans is Eric Garcia (only 7%) while the second most voted, Íñigo Martínez ( 3. 4%).

LEFT SIDES; 168,116 VOTES

Gayá is the favorite of the fans (28%) and Jordi Alba, the third (17%). Between the two who will be in Qatar, the name of Cucurella sneaks in, which has received 22% of the votes.

DEFENSIVE MID-CENTERS: 157,299 VOTES

LEFT INTERIORS: 155,657 VOTES

Pedri (39%) puts everyone in agreement as the most desired, but in this position one of the great requests of the public, the call-up of Sergio Canales, is not met. The Betis player is the second most voted, with 36% of the votes.

Dani Olmo (28%) and Asensio (23%) are the most voted and will be in Qatar. All in order.

LEFT FINGERS: 153,576 VOTES

In this position there are no surprises either, since Nico Williams (29%), Ansu Fati (28%) and Sarabia (21%) are the most voted. The fans, like Luis Enrique, want speed and dribbling.

The six options to vote were: Brahim, Ansu Fati, Berenguer, Oyarzabal, Nico Williams and Yeremy Pino.

FORWARDS CENTERS: 156,963 VOTES

The 9 of Spain belongs to Álvaro Morata. The fans ask for it and Luis Enrique has it reserved for him. The Atlético striker collects 25% of the votes. However, the other two with the most votes, Aspas (25%) and Borja Iglesias (24%) have not won the coach’s prize and will not be in the World Cup.

The six options to vote were: Morata, Borja Iglesias, Gerard Moreno, Iago Aspas, Rafa Mir and Raúl de Tomás.
