The fame of Gulabo Sitabo Farrukh Jaffar died at the age of 89, he had trouble breathing

Farooq Zafar, one of Bollywood’s veteran actors, said goodbye to the world at the age of 89. Farooq Zafar is known for his stellar performances in Sultan and Gulabo Sitabo. The eldest daughter of actress Mehru Zafar, confirming the death of her mother, said she was not well. Earlier this month, he was admitted to the Sahara Hospital in Lucknow due to his deteriorating health. He died Friday night at the hospital itself.

Speaking to the PTI news agency, Mehru Zafar said that on October 4 her mother was admitted to the hospital due to shortness of breath. His health was deteriorating. His lungs were completely unable to take in oxygen. He took his last breath in the hospital itself at 6 in the afternoon.

Farooq Zafar’s grandson Shaj Ahmed tweeted that his maternal grandmother and freedom fighter, wife of former MLC SM Zafar and veteran actress passed away tonight in Lucknow.

Farooq Zafar began his career as a radio host in 1963 with Lucknow Vividh Bharati. He made his big screen debut with the 1981 film Umran Jaan. In this movie, she was seen in the role of the mother of Bollywood actress Rekha. Apart from all this, Farooq worked with Shah Rukh Khan on Swades and with Aamir Khan on Peepli Live. It is known that Farooq Zafar was also seen in the Sultan of Salman Khan. In the movie Gulabo Sitabo, she played the role of Fatima Begum, Amitabh Bachchan’s wife. Gulabo Sitabo writer Juhi Chaturvedi wrote while paying tribute: Begum is gone Farooq ji, there was no one like you, nor will there be. Thanks for being with us.
