Ravindra Jadeja won the team by hitting the winning shot

India vs. Australia: The first match of the ODI series was played between India and Australia on Friday. In this match, the India team won by five wickets and took a 1-0 lead in the three match series. The Indian top order failed badly in this match. At one point, the Australian team tightened their grip in this low-scoring match, but KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja pulled the team out of trouble and led it to victory. These two were talked about everywhere, but there was one name that nobody took, which made the batsmen of the Australian team bite their noses. Had he not been there, probably the Australian team could have easily scored over 300.

We are talking about Mohammed Shami who bowled 6 overs and took three wickets for 17 runs with two maidens. No Kangaroo batsman could stand in front of him. Shami surprised everyone from starter Mitchell Marsh to all-round star Marcus Stoinis. Australia’s score at one point was 169 runs on the 28th and they had 6 wickets in hand. Then Mohammed Shami took over from here, who took down Jos Inglis first as soon as he got there on his second spell. After that, in the next over, he bowled Cameron Glen clean into all four corners. Marcus Stoinis also became a victim of Shami in the next over. Before long, Shami single-handedly broke the back of the Australian middle order.

That captain Hardik Pandya took Shami out of bowling. Otherwise, the pace at which he was seen, he could easily have taken five wickets. Neither of the Australian batsmen could read Mohammed Shami’s balls. Ravindra Jadeja took advantage of the pressure platform he created by dismissing Maxwell and Siraj took the last two wickets. The Australian team lost their last 6 wickets in 19 runs to their excellent bowling. India again got the target of 189 runs, which was achieved by losing 5 wickets in their 39.5 overs.

The higher request failed in front of Stark

The Indian top order fizzled out against Australia’s star left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc. Three wickets for 16 runs and half the team out for 83 runs. Out of this, three wickets were owned by Mitchell Starc. He did not allow Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Shubman Gill to place. Surya couldn’t even open the account and came out with a golden duck. After this, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja took the lead. Both shared an unbeaten partnership of 108 runs to give India a five wicket victory. Rahul scored an unbeaten 75 and Jadeja scored an unbeaten 45. Now, the second match of the series will be played in Visakhapatnam on March 19, where the India team will be keeping an eye on the series.
