More of four hundred people, from fifteen countries, they will focus on Castellón de la Plana from this Sunday until September 18 at European Rescue and Lifeguard Junior and Absolute, which will turn the city into the world center of this sport, being the first competition for national teams after the declaration of the pandemic and the only one before the 2022 World Cup.

Salvage and first aid is a discipline in which teams are made up of a maximum of six men and six women, thus guaranteeing equal participation, a sport that saves lives and it is developed with several tests both in the pool and in the sea.

The competition will reach the entire planet through the television signal that the Royal Spanish Federation of Rescue and Lifeguard will distribute in its OTT, so it can be followed through television, computer and mobile devices from anywhere in the world, it is already available in all operating systems and can be located through its name, rfessmedia, and rfessmedia.tv in a web environment.

This will be the first time that a rescue and first aid competition will be broadcast live through its own platform and not from third parties or through any social network, which guarantees that the signal will arrive in high definition and that the integrity of the Championship will be broadcast, not just part or the finals.

In total, between the absolute and junior categories, there are 237 lifeguards registered, 123 male and 114 female, They are joined by the respective technical teams, the delegations, where appropriate, of their national federations, from a total of fifteen countries, and the more than seventy people deployed by the Spanish federations and the Valencian Community for the organization of the event .

Fifteen nations are represented in the absolute competition, Spain, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Denmark, Portugal, Greece, Netherlands, Sweden and Albania, all of them will compete in the male and female category, while the Portuguese and Albanians do not present female teams.

These same two countries, along with Hungary and the Netherlands, will not be in the junior competition, where all, except Greece, which does not go with a women’s team, will be represented in this category and in the men’s.

The opening ceremony of the Championship will take place on Sunday September 12 at the Municipal Olympic Pool of Castellón and the closing ceremony on Saturday 18 at Playa del Gurugú.
