The EU is providing three countries with 70 million euros to deal with nuclear and chemical crises

This Thursday, the European Commission disbursed almost 70 million euros to finance the equipment of the EU's strategic reserves to respond to chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear crises. These funds flow to Italy , Poland And Romania wants to develop detection capabilities for the strategic EU reserves it hosts.

The aim of these funds is to enable EU Member States to benefit from such capabilities through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism from 2026. These tools are used to detect, identify and monitor potential contamination in response to emergencies. Consequence of work or safety accidents.
