The Dominican Republic will host the Norceca Modern Pentathlon Championship

The Dominican Republic will host the NORCECA Modern Pentathlon Championship, which brings together the countries of North America, Central America and the Caribbean,   event that is scheduled to take place from August 16 to 21 this year, with the participation of more than a dozen countries.
This was announced by Rob Stull, president of the NORCECA Confederation, who stated that this event is part of the calendar of several scheduled to be held in 2023.  and 2024.

This Norceca will provide the opportunity for athletes to get certified in the equestrian discipline for the Central American and Caribbean Games, the Pan American Games to be held in Santiago de Chile in 2023 and ultimately the 2024 Olympics.
In addition, this contest will allow to accumulate points for the Pan American classification list, as expressed by the president of the Pan American Confederation, Jorge Salas.
Likewise, Stull effusively congratulated the journalist Freddy Núñez Jorge, vice president of Norceca and who presides over the Dominican Federation of Modern Pentathlon, for the great effort he is making to increasingly develop this discipline in the Dominican Republic.
“I am very grateful for the brilliant work you do in favor of improving this discipline in your country every day,” Stull said in a letter.
On his side, Núñez Jorge was pleased because the work he has done in recent times has not only borne fruit, but these have been well considered by one of the most influential people in the discipline.
“These words represent a great challenge for me to continue doing things better and better, we will never rest in our intentions to see a series of projects that lie ahead come to fruition,” said the president of Fedopem.
He said that from now on he will begin to form a good team, with professionals of great capacity in the different areas, in order to mount a contest of great magnitude”, he maintained.
