The director of the National Salary Committee is changed with an undisclosed decree

Without being made known to the public opinion, the general director of the National Salary Committee, Félix Hidalgo Polanco, was dismissed in October, by decree 669-21, and in his place Ángel Martin Bienvenido Mieses González was appointed.

The decree, dated October 30, 2021 and upon the signature of the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, annulled Decree 271-14, with which Hidalgo was appointed, in September 2014, when he replaced Dr. Gloria Henríquez Novas, who was retired for health issues.

The new general director of the CNS, Angel Martín Bienvenido Mieses González worked until October of this year as a security advisor to the office of the Minister of Labor, Luis Miguel De Camps, with a salary of RD $ 145,000, as it appears in the general payroll of the State .

It is striking how little dissemination of this decree is in a position as important as the leadership of the National Salary Committee, the body that defines the minimum wages in the Dominican labor market.
