The crew of a Russian Su-30 is killed when their plane crashes

The crew of a Russian army Su-30 fighter jet died when their plane crashed in the Baltic enclave of Kaliningrad this Saturday.

“On August 12, during a training flight in Kaliningrad, A Su-30 plane crashed in a deserted area“, declared the Western Military Command of the Russian Army in a statement collected by the agency TASS.

The army has not yet confirmed the number of deaths The Su-30 is a two-seat aircraft. Initial investigations into the incident point to a “technical failure” as the main cause. The aircraft was not loaded with ammunition at the time of the crash.
