The course for Level III volleyball coaches closes

The NORCECA/FIVB Regional Center for the Development of Volleyball closed with resounding success the Level III Coaches Course that began last September 5 in Santo Domingo.

A total of 37 participants passed the Level III Coaches Course, coming from 14 countries taught by the Course Director Mr. Luis Muchaga of Spanish nationality and by the Cuban Instructor Francisco Cruz Jiménez, both appointed by the FIVB International Volleyball Federation.

At the graduation there were three former athletes from the Caribbean Queens, such as Priscilla Rivera, former captain, former defender Ana Yorkira Binet and former attacker, Nurys Arias, who have just taken a gigantic leap in their preparation in volleyball for the future in their new functions.

The act was presided over by Lic. Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz, Vice President of the FIVB and President of the NORCECA Volleyball Confederation, accompanied by Lic. Amos Anglade Technical Vice President of the Dominican Volleyball Federation.

“I congratulate you all from the bottom of my heart and exhort you to work for the development of volleyball in each of your countries, adhering to the guidelines of your National Federations and that you can take your knowledge to clubs and schools,” said Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz.

In addition, Marte Hoffiz stated that the NORCECA Confederation will continue to support training activities and initiatives through the Regional Development Center.

For his part, the graduate Amos Anglade wished all the participants the best of success and that he hopes to see each of them return to the Dominican Republic at the head of their national teams competing.

Likewise, the teacher. Nelson José Ramírez, director of the Development Center, expressed his satisfaction at carrying out the course “this is the only FIVB Development Center that to date has been authorized to teach courses in person, for which I thank the instructors your great work”.

Prof. Ramírez took advantage of the occasion to announce that in November the courses for Level I Trainers and one for Data Voli, Statistics and Opposition Analysis will be given.
