The club that wants to remove Daichi Kamada from Lazio

Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada has become a prominent name in the transfer market, with Olympique Marseille showing increasing interest in his services. The French club has been in contact with the 1996-born Lazio player in recent weeks as the Italian press reported.

Kamada, who previously played for Eintracht Frankfurt, enjoyed a rise in coach Maurizio Sarri’s hierarchy at Lazio after starting the season as a starter and scoring a crucial goal against Napoli. Sarri has publicly expressed his confidence in the Japanese player’s abilities on several occasions. But as Il Messaggero reports, despite the coach’s trust, Kamada is disappointed by his lack of playing time and is starting to explore other options.

His departure in January is not out of the question

Kamada’s contract with Lazio expires next summer but contains clauses for an automatic extension of three seasons. However, Marseille could try a move in January. The clock is ticking and the next few weeks could be crucial for Kamada’s future. The Japanese player is looking for a change in his season and a chance to convince Sarri to use him more often.
