The transfer market is booming and according to recent reports, Milan are showing great interest in Real Madrid young talent Arda Güler. According to information released on Tuesday afternoon, the Italian club is considering the possibility of negotiating a loan deal similar to the one signed with Brahim Díaz.
Only 18 years old, Guler moved to Real Madrid last summer for a transfer fee of 20 million euros, with possible add-ons of up to 10 million euros and a 20 percent sell-on clause for his former club Fenerbahce.
Milan wants Güler
Although Milan were interested in Guler last summer and were even willing to pay his release clause, obstacles arose that prevented the transfer, including the availability of a non-EU player spot in the Italian club’s squad. However, given that Milan have been continuously monitoring Guler’s progress for more than a year, interest in the player remains high and they could consider suggesting a loan move to Real Madrid in the upcoming summer transfer window.
According to Calciomercato, citing Turkish media, Guler could face greater competition at the Bernabeu next season, especially if Real Madrid sign players like Endrick and PSG star Kylian Mbappé. Given this situation, Milan would consider initially offering a season-long loan deal, following a model similar to the agreement with Brahim Díaz.
Milan remembers the Díaz case and initially signed him on loan for a season in the summer of 2020. However, after negotiating a new two-year loan deal with an option to buy, the player eventually returned to Real Madrid and signed a new long-term contract. This background could influence the negotiations between Milan and Real Madrid regarding the possible loan of Arda Güler.
