“We’re back.” With those words Cholo Simeone announces one of those games that he always wins, that he always wants to win: the one who has been playing for eight seasons against hunger, in favor of the most disadvantaged, with his campaign #AgainstHungerWeGiveEverything. He is accompanied by his family, his wife, Carla Pereyra, the Atlético Foundation and the Red Cross. The 2022 edition is the VII and it already has a date: it will be May 15at the Wanda Metropolitano, regarding Atlético-Sevilla: a tent will be set up around the stadium where non-perishable food will be collected between 3:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. (when the match starts).
Another year we fight against hunger.
From today you can collaborate by bringing food to your athletic club. And on Sunday, May 15, before the game against Sevilla, we’ll be waiting for you in the tent that we’ll have at the Metropolitano.

But, in addition to the physical collection at the stadium, 161 athletic clubs from 4 communities will open their doors from today until Sunday the 15th to collect food and collaborate with this action. There are already eight consecutive years in which Simeone and the Fundación rojiblanca collaborate with the Red Cross in solidarity campaigns aimed mainly at children in difficulty. Only in 2020, after the outbreak of the pandemic, did the campaign change its usual conceptional, and Simeone’s efforts focused on raising funds for the acquisition of medical supplies, so necessary at that time.
To encourage the fans to show their most supportive side, Simeone has launched a video on his social networks in which he highlights that “we are together again and that “we need you all” to exceed the 36 tons collected in the last edition. In 2015, 10 tons were collected; 16 in 2016; 18 in 2017; 20 in 2018; 30 in 2019 and 36 in 2021. The Red Cross requests that people who want to support this campaign focus your donations on oil, preserves, milk, cereals, juice and cookies, since it is the most necessary food at this time. In addition, and to facilitate the participation of a greater number of people, a web page has been enabled in which economic contributions can be made that the Red Cross will allocate to food kits for families in difficulty:
