A Code 19 vaccine made in China has also been declared usable for children up to 3 years of age. The vaccine is currently being used in children under 12 years of age in China.
According to international media, the code vaccine manufactured by a Chinese company is safe for children up to 3 years of age, this was revealed in the results of the first and second phase clinical trials of the sinus form vaccine.
The results of the trials were published in the medical journal The Lancet Infectious Diseases, according to which the vaccine proved safe in volunteers aged 3 to 17 years.
The vaccine is being used in 12-year-olds in China.
Trials have shown that the two-dose vaccine develops a strong immune response in children and antibodies to the virus as much as in adults.
Experts involved in the study from the company and the China Center for Disease Control and Prevention said that data from the third phase of trials would be collected from the United Arab Emirates, where 3-year-olds are being vaccinated.
Wang Huacheng, head of the vaccination program at the China Center for Disease and Prevention, said a milestone had been set to complete the vaccination of one billion people in China, but caution was still needed.
He said that children under the age of 12 have not been vaccinated yet and they should be made a part of this program.
In the first phase of these trials, 288 children were involved while in the second phase, 720 children were included.
The results showed that the side effects of the vaccine were mild to moderate in most children, with only one child experiencing a severe allergic reaction with a history of food allergies.
