The news, revealed by Ben Jacobs, suggests that the Saudi team is ready to make a convincing offer to sign the French defender, whose contract with Manchester United expires in the same season.
Manchester United will not trigger Raphael Varane's one-year extension. However, a new deal may be offered at reduced rates. Those close to Varane have played down a move by Saudi Arabia in 2024, but dealmakers still consider it a very real possibility. Al-Ittihad and Al-Nassr hold a… pic.twitter.com/yMXvvfHY3k

Varane, the defensive star that Al Nassr wants
Although Manchester United will not extend Varane for a year, the possibility of a new contract on reduced terms has not yet been ruled out. Although some close to the player are downplaying the significance of the Saudi move, negotiators believe Al Nassr's offer in 2024 is a very real and concrete possibility.
Al Nassr, current title contenders in the Saudi Pro League, already have an outstanding squad that includes well-known names such as Marcelo Brozovic, Seko Fofana, Otavio, Talisca, Aymeric Laporte, Sadio Mané and top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo.
The potential addition of Raphael Varane would not only strengthen the team's defensive line, but also give them a first-class presence and help Al Nassr establish themselves as genuine contenders both domestically and internationally.
