A shocking incident has taken place during the last rites at the crematorium in western India.
According to Indian media reports, the body of Mohan Vasant, 62, was brought to the crematorium in the Bhola Nagar complex in the western state for cremation.
According to municipal employees, during the last rites, when the body was put in the furnace, the gas ran out, due to which the body was half burnt and the matter was not resolved for three days.
When crematorium staff learned of the matter, they contacted senior officials to provide gas cylinders, but officials did not act in a timely manner.
Bharatiya Janata Party leader Om Prakash Garudia questioned the performance of the municipal administration and leveled serious allegations against the staff.

City Engineer Shivaji Barkand has assured an investigation into the matter and stern action against the culprits.
According to media reports, a letter was written to Municipal Public Dam Works Executive Engineer Deepak Khumbat on August 26, informing him that gas cylinders would not be provided at the crematorium till the next hearing, but the contractor did not. Explained the reason for interruption of supply.
