The Blockchain Expo September 20 was successfully kicked off in the RAI Amsterdam. The event was of course completely devoted to the world of blockchain and cryptocurrencies and lasts two full days. A number of big names within the industry were present and in this article we give a short impression of the first day.
Blockchain Expo 2022
The Blockchain Expo in Amsterdam has been the largest exhibition for a few years now blockchainrelated developments across Europe. There were a total of more than 5,000 visitors and at least 200 companies were present in the RAI Amsterdam, for example to exhibit their latest technical innovation. There are also more than 150 different speakers talked about their vision for the crypto industry, now and in the future.
We saw some big names among the attendees. Not only regular customers within the crypto industry, such as Chainalysis and the EOS Foundation waren present. We also saw many companies that may not be directly associated with the crypto industry at the moment, but are earning their stripes in this area. Think of: Amazon Web Services (AWS), ING, Bosch, Vodafone, and of course PostNL.
The audience, of course, was made up of crypto enthusiasts and developers. Admission was free, so everyone was able to be a part of this unique blockchain expo.
PostNL at the Blockchain Expo
Prominently present at the expo was also the largest Dutch postal company, PostNL. They were here, unsurprisingly, to display their new NFT crypto stamp. This ‘NL crypto stamp’ was unveiled for the first time this month and visitors could see the crypto stamp ‘live’ at the Blockchain Expo.
It was very busy at the position from PostNL and the first 100 duo-sets containing both the NL crypto stamp and the crypto stamp from Austrian post were sold out in no time. This shows once again that the interest in the NFT crypto stamp is high. Today starts the mainsale of the NL crypto stamp. Augmented reality bull
In addition to the NFT crypto stamp, PostNL also brought something else to the Blockchain Expo: A augmented reality bull. As the name might suggest, this is a bull that you can project onto the real world after scanning a QR code with your smartphone. Of course, a bull was chosen here, because this animal can also be seen on every crypto stamp.
According to PostNL, this way you can explore the virtual world of non-fungible tokens (NFT) connecting with the real world; a witty gimmick.
