The Black Phone is postponed to summer 2022

The eagerly awaited Black Phone of Scott Derrickson, with Ethan hawke in the role of the central antagonist, is postponed to summer 2022. Its original release date was set to end January 2022. After a short freelance at Marvel studios where he made the first Doctor Strange, Derrickson quit the shooting of Multiverse of Madness, claiming different creatives with Marvel studios. The filmmaker behind Sinister and the exorcism of Emily Rose has returned to its fundamentals: the horror genre.

It is alongside Blumhouse Productions, the studio responsible for successful franchises that are Paranormal Activity, Insidious, American Nightmare and Sinister than Scott Derrickson sign Black Phone, which promises to be wild, scary, with a dantesque performance signed Ethan hawke. The story tells of a kidnapped child who finds himself in a soundproof basement surrounded by the remains of other victims. When night falls, an unplugged phone in the room starts ringing with calls from the dead. In addition to Hawke, The Black Phone will feature James Ransone (IT Chapter Two),Jeremy davies (LOST), Kellan rhude (Dexter: New Blood), Mason thames (For All Mankind) and Madeleine McGraw (The Mitchells vs. the Machines).
