The Baseball League issues a ruling in favor of the Bulls in their challenge of a game against the Eagles

The Dominican Baseball League issued a ruling in favor of the Toros del Este, a team that challenged the fact that pitcher Geoff Hartlieb, from the Aguilas, had acted against them at a time when he was unable to do so.

This is so because on November 6, the Eagles had placed the pitcher on the paternity list, a fact that was verified that he did not have a situation of this nature and, failing that, his status should go to an inactivity list.

While in the paternity list the player had to be absent for at least three days, in the inactivity list the period out must be 15 and from there the claim of the Bulls is derived, since Hartlieb pitched against them on the 11th, the date on which the team fell 7-2 to the Eagles.

The romanenses had brought their challenge to the Baseball League on December 13, the following day it was notified to the Eagles and the baseball entity announced yesterday afternoon its ruling in favor of the romanenses.

The Aguilucha directive appealed the contentious resolution marked with the number RC-01-22-23, it is investigated and analyzed by the appeals commission, which is expected to issue the ruling in the next few hours.

Until the appeal is known by the committee, the case has the status of suspended in an appeal filed by the Eagles.

The challenge of the Bulls is due to the fact that pitcher Hartlieb pitched against them on November 11, an inadmissible fact because on the 6th of that month he had been placed on the paternity list. When this occurs, the player must remain on the aforementioned list for at least 15 days.

This case has the same protagonists Hartlieb and also pitcher Roenis Elías, which led to the challenge by the Licey in the fact that the former was registered on the paternity list without necessarily having a case of this magnitude. Something that was proven by the Licey board of directors.

This fact gives life to the Bulls in their intentions to advance to the play in, at least it was so at the time of writing.

Likewise, it stops, at least momentarily, the preparation of a schedule for the Round Robin that should primarily start on Monday.
