“The balls have been firing a bit,” the former bowler speaks bluntly about the Gambhir-Sreesanth controversy

Former Team India fast bowler Praveen Kumar has spoken out clearly on the ongoing spat between Gautam Gambhir and Sreesanth. He has said that there is violent turmoil in this matter. None of these things should happen on social media. He also said that there was a lot of arguing between the players on the field.

Praveen Kumar, speaking to IANS, said, “All this is part of the game.” There is no need to exaggerate such incidents. It should be limited to the field only. This should not be pursued further. There will be unnecessary excitement on social media, after a few days you will see that both (Gambhir and Sreesanth) will forget all this.

Praveen Kumar said, “There is an argument between you and me on the ground and if you go out, everything will be fine.” There is little animosity, small bullets were fired. His promotion on social media should be stopped.

On the evening of December 6, 2023, the elimination match of Legends League Cricket between Gujarat Giants and India Capitals was played at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat. Gautam Gambhir of Indian Capitals and Sreesanth of Gujarat Giants got into an altercation. The argument escalated so much that other cricketers and umpires had to come to the rescue. The matter didn’t end there. After that, the fight started on social media.

First, Sreesanth shared a video on Instagram and made numerous allegations against Gautam Gambhir. His wife Bhuvaneshwari Kumari also told Gambhir a lot in this post. After this, Gautam Gambhir also posted a laughing picture on his Instagram and wrote, “When the world does anything just to get attention, then just smile.” After this post by Gambhir, Sreesanth once again reacted in detail and criticized him heavily.
