Australia’s star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell could be ruled out of the ODI series against India later this month amid caution ahead of the World Cup. Maxwell suffered and has recovered from a left ankle injury last year but suffered from ankle pain during the recently concluded T20I series against South Africa. The series will take place before the World Cup
The Australian team will come to India ahead of the World Cup for a three-game ODI series, starting with the Mohali game on September 22. He said the selectors and staff are very supportive. They don’t want to put too much pressure on me to set a date because they know they have some time left before the World Cup. Maxwell said I’d rather take more time to make sure we can play the entire tournament than rush.
All teams must submit their 15-man World Cup roster to the ICC by September 5, with changes open until September 27. He broke his left leg in an accident during a birthday party in November last year and is now being fitted with a metal plate.
