The Asian Cup and the Champions Trophy will be organized in Pakistan, will the Indian team participate?

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has recently published a schedule of upcoming tournaments. According to this, Pakistan will host the Asia Cup in 2023 and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025 after a long time. Recently, the International Cricket Council (ICC) had decided to cede the venue for these two major tournaments to Pakistan. After about 25 years, the ICC tournament will be organized in Pakistan. For safety, all teams had distanced themselves from the Pakistan tour for nearly a decade. Now gradually the big teams are also going to play cricket in Pakistan.

The Pakistan Cricket Board recently tweeted: “Some wishes came true! You wanted international cricket in Pakistan and we’ve heard from you. Here’s the full schedule. What match are you waiting for?” The PCB has confirmed from this tweet that in addition to the bilateral series, the board has also started preparations for the ICC tournament. The discussion went on about this for a long time.

Fans can once again be seen enjoying cricket in Pakistan. In the year 2022, many important teams will tour Pakistan. According to the current schedule, next year teams from Australia, West Indies, England and New Zealand will go to Pakistan for the bilateral series.

The question also arises whether the Indian team will go to Pakistan to play the Asian Cup. There has not yet been a statement from the BCCI or any other official in this regard. Although if the experts are to be believed, this is an ICC tournament and if the Indian team does not participate in it, there can be a lot of losses. It will be interesting to see what the BCCI decides.
