The concert “To Gaza from Dhaka” will take place in Dhaka today to protest against the genocide in Palestine. The concert was scheduled to take place at the central premises of Dhaka University. Due to the lack of permission, the concert will now take place at the amphitheater in Hatirjheel. This concert is organized by Artists Against Genocide Front.

The money from the sale of concert tickets is transferred to Palestine.

None of the bands or artists performing at this concert are paid. The bands include Maqsood & Dhaka, Arc, Avoid Rafa, Nemesis, Indalo, Meghdal, Sahazia, Carnival, Highway, Hatirpool Session, Feroze Jung, Marubhoomi and Moonflower.

The artists who will sing on it include Masha Islam, Shafayet, Asir Armaan, Rezaul Karim Lemon, Black Jang, Mueez Mahfuz, Abhishek Bhattacharyya and Ahmed Hasan Sunny.

This is a benefit concert. The ticket price is set at 500 rupees. If anyone would like to help beyond that, the organizers have also made arrangements. The concert starts today at 2 p.m.

It is reported that all proceeds from this anti-genocide concert will be donated to the Red Crescent or the Palestine Children’s Fund. Organizers hope the money will be used to provide food and medical treatment for civilians in war-torn Palestine.

On social media Facebook, artists, musicians and the general public supported the concert and added the “Dhaka to Gaza” feature to their profile pictures. Actor Chanchal Chowdhury shared a poster of Artists Against Genocide and wrote, “No war, I want peace…” Actress Zakia Bari Mom shared the ticket link and urged Gazans to stand by the concert.

In a post, actor Siam Ahmed urged his fans and viewers not to miss this historic concert.
