The billionaire Bernard Arnault and his family have crowned themselves the greatest fortune on the planet, thus ousting Elon Musk, according to the real-time billionaire index compiled by ‘Forbes’ magazine.
Thus, the fortune of the Arnault has risen 0.45% this Tuesday, up to 188,100 million dollars (176,428 million euros), while Musk’s has fallen by 3.91%, to 181,300 million dollars (170,050 million euros).
Among other properties, the Arnaults own 48.14% of the luxury conglomerate LVMH, which brings together brands such as Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Loewe, Sephora, Bulgari and Tiffany. On his side, Musk owns most of Twitter, SpaceX and 14.11% of Tesla.
Since its peak reached in November 2021, the share price of the electric car manufacturer has sunk 58%. In the same time horizon, LVMH shares have grown by 3.5%.
The third position of the real-time index of ‘Forbes’ is for the Indian Guatam Adani, president of the Adani Group conglomerate; followed by the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos; and investor Warren Buffett.
