Prime Minister Sunak had to face a big blow with the announcement of the resignation of Dominic Raab, one of the leaders of the very close allies.
In a letter of resignation posted on Twitter on Friday, Dominic Raab wrote that he had decided to step down as deputy prime minister and minister of justice following an investigation into allegations of abuse of public officials.
Eight official allegations of misconduct against officials while Ministers for Foreign Affairs, Justice and Brexit have been investigated. Independent investigator Adam Tolley led the work.
